Google has declared that, in Google Search, it has extended the finance experience on the mobile Web and desktop. For that, it has included a new Finance tab, thus adding up one more to its tab list that consists of Images, News, Maps, and Videos. The company mentions the new tab will sort out search queries to display only finance-linked results, from earnings reports to market news. Google has discretely overhauled its Google Finance tool as well.

The company states the new Finance tab within the Google Search function similar to Google Finance, displaying identical data. The search giant said that it will withdraw some of the features from the Google Finance service for now, such as the Portfolio feature that enabled users to trail investments. Also deplored is the facility of the portfolio and historical tables downloading. However, the search giant said that a stocks’ list from the portfolio of the user will be available in the search result through Your Stocks. Also, the users can get alerts when there are any remarkable alters in their performance.

Haiman Lee, the Product Manager of Google, in a blog post, said, “Now through a new search navigation tab entitled as ‘Finance,’ one can easily access the finance data based on their interests. This will keep them updated on the most recent market news and assist to get comprehensive insights about businesses. On this page, one can observe performance data about stocks they have opted to follow, related news, suggestions on other stocks, currencies, and market indices.”

The new Finance tab can be accessed by the users in Google Search by tapping the More tab within search outcomes for finance-linked data. The user can also visit the Market Summary within the Google Search’s finance section. Lee mentions that users of google.com/finance will perceive the all fresh experience too. The new Search feature is live in India already.
